Message of Secretary
I take it as my privilege to announce the launching of the revamped website of the Sri Lanka Public Service Commission.
The Public Service Commission, was set up under the 17th Amendment to the Constitution, and is the apex body of Public Sector appointments, transfers, disciplinary control and dismissal of employees.
The revamped website, which accommodates new features, was developed with the assistance of Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka and Pooranee Inspirations Pvt Ltd. Among the new features, the Public Service Commission gladly welcomes web-mails from interested parties. It welcomes comments and queries which could be directly posted to the Office of the Public Service Commission. Comments are most welcome as well as constructive inputs. Queries will be replied within three working days of its receipt, by e-mail.
Our endeavour is to reply web-mails by return of mail with the required information to our clients which we hope will be of comfort to the inquirer, as quick information in these present times is a dire necessity. We feel by this, we could be of a greater service to our clients, and they in turn will have ease of communication to a body of this nature.
The revamped web-site offers comprehensive descriptions of functions of the Commissions and required information for those who need directions to seek assistance from the Public Service Commission. It also affords a sound base of legislative enactments and other related legal provisions pertaining to the purview of Public Service Commission, its delegated authorities and the Appellate Authority, which is the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
As Secretary to the Public Service Commission, I cordially invite you to take maximum use of the facilities we have provided you with. Any comments that you would extend for its improvement, are welcome. We hope the new Website will be a great asset to both client and the Commission, and will minimize the time taken in the sorting out and dispensing of information.
I wish to thank Information and Communication Technology Agency and Poorani Inspirations Ltd. for assisting us in revamping the site, the members of the Content Management Team of the Public Service Commission, and the band of officers who are not in the Content Management Team but gave of their best to make this project possible.
